This weekend, enjoy the bounty of summer, vintage airplanes and many tunes.
From 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Uptown Market, 220 Maxwell Ave., will be bustling with a special evening activity.
Enjoy market vendors, food trucks, drinks and live music from Keller Ridgeway and Ashby Stokes.
Food trucks slated to participate include Chucktown Smokin ‘Gringos, Krystyna’s Polish Food, Lola’s Lumpia Food Truck and Pita Perfect. Howard’s on Main will offer beer and wine, and Grits and Groceries will sell ice cream.
If that’s not enough, check out the opening day of the Greenwood County Farmers Market from 7 a.m. to noon on Saturdays at 1610 SC 72.
To celebrate the history of Greenwood’s B-25 bombers during WWII, don’t miss your chance Saturday and Sunday to see two vintage military planes up close at Greenwood County Airport at 322 Terminal Road.
From 10 am to 5 pm on Saturdays, visit the visiting B-25 named “Show Me”. On Sunday you can see the B-25 from 9am to 3pm, plus a P-51 Mustang fighter named “Tempus Fugit” from 9am to 2pm. This is a sanctioned event of the South Carolina Festival of Flowers, which has its busy main weekend from June 11-13.

LC Branch is the mainstay of a Montague. He’ll be there at 7 p.m. Friday. Pope and Bert are performing at 7 p.m. on Friday at the Good Times, if you want to try and divide the difference and catch both performances.
Then at 8 p.m., Bad Weather States is playing Howard’s and Remedy 58 is playing TW Boons.
The Mezz & Friends will honor their friend and bandmate Ryan Doolittle on Saturday at 7 p.m. at Howard’s.
From 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Tommy and Nicole will perform live acoustic music at South Bend Winery, 122 Old Mount Moriah Road. Taste food, local wines or even a wine slush.
Who said the weekend ends on Saturday? Joey Banks will be performing at the Tiki Hut at 5 p.m. Sunday. Oh, lake life in the summer, right?
