Gurugram club manager, 6 bouncers arrested for beating and assaulting guests

Gurugram: Gurugram police have arrested a Lokesh nightclub manager and six bouncers, who have been charged with beating guests and assaulting a woman.

The arrests took place on Wednesday evening. Those arrested were identified as Sonu, Mandeep, Sumit, Nitin, Ram Singh and Rakesh, police said. They were accused of beating the director of a multinational company and her friends.

The incident happened on the night of August 7-8, when a man went with his friends to a Casa Danza club located in Udyog Vihar phase-2.

Complainant Mayank Chaudhary alleged in his complaint that he was beaten by a group of 8-10 bouncers after one of them allegedly touched his friend inappropriately.

The accused bouncers beat Complaint and her friends mercilessly after confronting one of the bouncers for misbehaving with a woman in their group.

Video of the incident has gone viral on social media. In the video, a man and a woman can be seen being beaten up by the bouncers on the road.

Chaudhary, a resident of Sector 28 in Gurugram, said in his police complaint that he and his friends went to Casa Danza club around 2am on Monday in Udyog Vihar.

“There I met my other friend Pushpak and his sister outside the club. When entering one of the bouncers touched my friend inappropriately and when she objected a few others bouncers came to the venue and called their manager Lokesh and Santosh my friend then complained to the manager of the duo about the assault the managers then ordered the bouncers to beat us up and kick us all out of the club “Mayank told police.

“Afterwards, about 8-10 bouncers dressed in black and the duo managers got together and beat me and my friends with sticks and slapped us several times and pushed us to the ground in front of the club and on the road. They even snatched the Pushpak. I am watching and Rs 10,000-12,000 out of my pocket,” the plaintiff alleged in his complaint.

“Due to a traffic jam they left us on the road and both managers threatened us with serious consequences and returned to the club,” the complainant told police.

Mayank filed a complaint in this regard and told the whole incident to the police.

Udyog Vihar Police Station registered an FIR against unidentified persons under Sections 147, 149, 323, 354A(I)(i), 379A and 506 of the Indian Penal Code.
